In a previous article (To hinge or not to hinge), we discussed the merits of stamp hinges versus stamp mounts. All collectors know that stamp hinges can be an inexpensive way of mounting used stamps on an album page. But never, never use them for mint never hinged stamps!
On October 4th, 2010, Canada Post will begin issuing a new $10 high value definitive stamp featuring the majestic blue whale. The beautiful creature’s long, slender body graces this stamp which will continually remind us of the blue whale’s endangered status. The blue whale is also the largest animal ever known to have existed.
On September 7th, 2010, Canada Post began issuing a stamp to raise awareness regarding mental illness. This is the third stamp that Canada Post has issued with this theme in the last three years since establishing the Canada Post Foundation for Mental Health.
